Fair Break

This past fair break, I truthfully did not do much...at all. I chilled out at my house, went to work, hit up a Reds game, watched the Bengals, and went to my girlfriend's place.

Going Green/Presentation Skills

During the time spent on the Going Green project, I learned many things. First of all, I became aware of just how serious of an effect not going green has on our environment. I realized such horrible things; the polar bears having no home, the expanding hole in the Ozone. Then I saw how easy it is to fix it. How simple it is to save the Earth.
When it comes to presentation skills, my attention was brought to one area...gaining people's attention.

The Time Without the Teacher

The day without the teacher, a time when it's expected for the class to get out of hand. A school day anarchy. But honestly, much was learned. Much was learned...about myself. We did a lot of stuff including a logo representing ourselves. I never really thought about how to express myself through a logo. So I spent almost 30 minutes thinking about myself, thinking about who I am, thinking about what I represent. I guess you can say that while the teacher was gone...I found myself.

What I've Learned

This year in Business and Finance, I have learned many tools that will help me later in my professional life. First of all, I learned how to fill out a W-2 form. Secondly, I learned how to design a shirt. I've also learned how to run a store and the cash register. An important thing I have also learned would be answering a phone in a completly professional manner. Lastly, and one of the most important things I've learned, would be money management, especially since the career I plan to pursue is all about money management.
